Over the past month, Add fuel to the fire and YUP/Paulo Arraiano headed over to London to work on their new collective show at Pure Evil. Found myself some time to check the opening, and it was a great moment all around. Got to meet really nice people, as Pure Evil himself, Pauli Frames who framed the artworks done for the show, and Enable Plus Plus the man who put this show together. Here are some pics of the night.

Mr. Phomer is back at it in the streets of London. If you well remember his Supreme x Gaga action, you’ll surely not let this one by without a second view. This Supreme x Kate Moss adbust is yet another visually appealing twist, well elaborated by Mr. Phomer. Inside, a sample of some of the pics, as well as a video by João Retorta.

Mr. Phomer just launched an illustration concerning the riots, where the changes of time are visible.

Plasticina is at it again, this time with a bigger project full of Portugues artists in it. AkaCorleone, Aurora Pavón, Catrine Bodum, David Oliveira, Fidel Évora, Francisco Vaz, Jucapinga, Kruella D’Enfer, Marie Err, Maria Imaginário, Michal Dziekan, Mr Clement, Mr Phomer & Sérgio Pereira are the names to look out for on April 28th, at Acquire Arts Gallery. “After the utopia” is a view on the Portuguese Freedom Day. Jucapinga has made is show visible to the audience last Friday night in London, with “Facing Kabu”. His dedication and master degrees in mafia studies, gangsters and the goodfellas is pretty evident in his works, so what better place to host a show than an old Police Station. Talk about details. You can still visit the show for the next days, ending this Friday 11th at 7pm. Dont’ miss the opportunity to give it a look in person. Coming closer to the date, Jucapinga just sent over some teaser pics for his upcoming solo show “Facing Kabu”. The show will be taking place at an old Police Station. Ain’t that something.

Jucapinga who’s moved to London in the past year, will have a new show opening in February, thanks to the curatorial project Plasticina, also based in London. Expect some teaser pics closer to the date, and a hell of a show by the day. Flyer and info inside.

And then, not to far away from the Lazarides Greek St show, was the Faile “A Decade of Faile” exhibition. The first time I had been here was for the Vhils premiere back in July last year, and it was amazing. And now, for someone who had only seen all of these works via internet, it was astonishing to find so many great pieces in one house.
Again, great job from Faile and Lazarides.

After circulating the street up and down, as I hadn’t took the number with me, I was finding hard to believe I was in the right street, but that I couldn’t find the gallery itself. So I started asking the nearby workers. The first had no idea what I was talking about, so I decided the next door would be easier, as it was arts related. End up, they had no idea what I was talking about either, and themselves were in the art business. Last option, roam the street up again, and that’s when I catch a door shutter being raised, and realize it was a bit soon for the opening time. Can you believe that I was 2 doors away from the gallery and no one knew where it was? Anyway, all I have to say is that from all the exhibitions I had been to, Lazarides was by far the best with its exhibition from Faile and Bast.
