Chris Gilmour is the guy I’d like to be, if I’d ever had the patience to build such things. I imagine them… but hell, there’s no way I’d ever be able to build one of these. This guy must be outside IKEA everyday to get that free cardboard, eheh. Amazing works, from an already known artist that I love.
Dave the Chimp is making a Lucky Dip 2nd edition this year (it’s that Xmas time), where every Lucky Dipper gets an original, one-off “Human Bein” painting, pulled randomly from a stack of 70 (that’s the “Lucky Dip” element!) PLUS a signed copy of the book “Part of Rebellion 2: Dave the Chimp”, a copy of his latest zine “Recycle Ya Bastards issue 2″ (hot off the press this week) and a copy of the Vanzine, which folds out into an A2 sized 2 colour poster. All for just 35 euros (Europe only. 40 euros rest of the world due to shipping costs). You can read all about it here.

3M Scotch tape brand decided to hold down a contest, with Mark Jenkins (who I’ve had the pleasure to have met in the past) as one of the members of the jury, to see who creates the most creative sculpture piece done in Scotch tape.

Last night just stopped by for a quicker visit than usual, but it was with great surprise that I saw lot’s of brand new work done during the weekend. Couldn’t make it to the weekend there, but things are really starting to get ready. If you don’t believe me, I’ll just present you with some colors. It’s almost here people…
Saturday afternoon after stopping by “Believe in Heroes” by artist MAR (which I wasn’t allowed to shoot unfortunately, but I do recommend the visit) I headed up to Oriente for the Feira Arte Contemporânea at FIL. After 2 and half hours, I was exhausted but it was a good afternoon. Some nice artworks but mainly in sculpture, being my brothers teacher one of those surprises. Enjoy some of the pics from the event.
