A new piece by Alexandre Farto aka Vhils to end the year, which has been getting lot’s of feedback back on the facebook page. Vhils made this portrait of German chancellor Angela Merkel, leaving her with a third eye, a reference to the “eye of providence” related to the latest Euro crisis, that’s been taking the news. One of his best pieces of the year, with the inclusion of several elements to the portrair rather than the usual etched face.
If you have been following on the facebook page, this past weekend we went out to Covilhã to find the second event of WOOL fest coming to a start. Alexandro Farto aka Vhils arrived late Saturday night and immediately started working on his piece, laying out the lines for what would be a handfull of work next day. Trying to avoid the rain and the first signs of hard weather reaching Covilhã, his piece got laid out nicely on this huge wall of the city over the weekend. Pics and timelapse inside, thanks to Pedro Seixo Rodrigues.
Another artist to be part of the Walk & Talk festival was Alexandre Farto aka Vhils. This latest intervention from Vhils is the one that caught my attention from his recent works. So much depth and detail in these faces.
Monster, Chure & Atus are working on a wall with the Lisboa theme. Here’s a video teaser to what’s coming up.
Great intervention done in the streets of Lisboa. When a car crashed in to a wall at Rua Ferreira Borges, artist Pantonio saw an opportunity to create something different from the concrete wall.
And back with more Vhils work, here’s the pics for the latest piece he left in Alcântara, Lisboa, next to the Bastardilla piece. Plus, look who else is in town…

Vhils is involved in NuArt 10, one of the greatest street art festivals to happen this year, with artists like Dolk, JR, M-City, EVOL, ROA, Blu & Ericailcaine and many more. Check his latest works inside, and the NuArt page for more amazing pieces by all the other artists.
UPDATE: NuArt posted some more info on this piece.
