Still on going, Maria Imaginário had her latest solo show bloom at Galeria Dama Aflita in Porto. Turning this exhibition subject around vegetables, the humor present on the pieces through old sayings and subtle puns attached to the illustrations are doing it just right. “Beyond walls / Além paredes” has been a huge success since it’s debut. The group show, currently still showing at António Prates Gallery until May 12th, has invited 11 urban artists to exhibit their work. As one of the artists myself (Target), was a pleasure to have worked with people I admire for long time. “And Nothing” is the latest exhibition of works by eime in Lisboa, to be held at Waves & Woods. Mainly a showcase of previously seen works, you can catch some examples of his stencils in loco until the end of the month. Gallery pics inside.
To celebrate the 2nd anniversary at Montana Shop & Gallery, ARYZ was invited to leave some of his process drawings for a small show. After leaving this amazing wall in the heart of Lisboa, his show was packed throughout the night. This kid has skills, and his drawings prove that for his tender age. Las Cucarachas are having a show at +Skillz entitled “A Terra é larga e o Céu é nosso”, which roughly translates into “The Earth is large and heaven is ours”. This trio already has their second zine out, and the quality is always good, so be sure to check out the opening tomorrow at Bairro Alto. More info inside.
The show that gathered many Portuguese artists surrounding the carnation revolution theme, has been brought through Plasticina curatorial project, and can now be seen online.
