Montana Shop & Gallery is still holding an exhibition by Bordalo II entitled “Tornar o banal original” (Making the trivial original). Bordalo II blends in trashed objects with the paintings, where you can see behind the layers of ink a whole side of a car, a fire extinguisher or a tricycle splattered amongst vivid colors on the canvas. “Run n tell that” is the latest solo show from Mr. Phomer still showing at Waves & Woods, Lisboa, with his “everyday life (de)motivational posters”. Catch a glimpse of what you can find visiting the shop.

+Skillz is holding an exhibition until the end of the week (now over) by Las Cucarachas, a collective that has been showing some work on their zines, now on to a proper physical space. Working mainly on digital pieces, they’re now transported to other mediums. Check inside a sample of what can be found there.

“Born to Resist”, the latest show from Vanessa Teodoro took place last week at the Eastpak store in Lisboa. From bag customizations of the brand, to work in other mediums, you can check some pieces of the show in the gallery and video inside.

“Reality Show” the new exhibition from Portuguese artist Pedro Matos that took place last night at Montana Shop & Gallery was a success. SOLD OUT are the words to retain on this amazing show that will most likely push him to another level on the art community. The place was packed as it’s becoming a standard from Montana’s exhibitions and happy to see people getting out more and more for art events. With huge skills I have no doubt this kid will go far!

Before leaving Lisboa, SAM3 went for Bairro Alto and the surroundings of the city to leave us with some more artwork on the streets. Pleased to have met him, and that there’s more of his stuff on the streets. With some luck, he was pleased to have been in Lisboa and will get back soon. Let’s wait and see, but in the meanwhile here’s what can be found on the streets and also on his blog.

Last Saturday 22nd was the night for another different experience from one of the best pair of artists who paint in Portugal, Mar & Ram who gave birth to the ARM Collective. This duo is getting more and more work up as a team then before, and it’s always good to chill out and watch them paint live, like it was the case. I’m still coming back to catch the end result, but meanwhile here’s a little something for you…
