After closely following part I of the work Add fuel to the fire has been doing, we both headed to Covilhã this past weekend to check the WOOL fest 2nd event. During that stay, Add fuel to the fire headed to the streets to leave 3 new pieces for the people of Covilhã. Check the pics and great video of the whole process inside.
GrafikWalls (mentioned here) made a pop up show on October 1st. Was nice to catch up with some of the artists, and to take a look in person of how the project was going. Catch a sample of what happened on that day.
It’s with great pleasure that I leave you with a wonderful project I’ve been following closely. Add fuel to the fire has reinvented Portuguese tradition, with his personal touch to the Portuguese tiles. With over three weeks since the debut of the PushClick show over at Montana Shop & Gallery, I can finally and properly thank everyone who showed up and continue to support this project. And what a night it was. A huge crowd of people showed up and stayed through the night, whether they were coming to see new stuff, drink a beer or just to play some good old Street Fighter on the arcade. We had original pieces, screenprints and limited edition badges from each artist. The show is still on going for another week or two, and we’ll also have a 2nd installment of the show at LxFactory for the Open Day. Don’t miss that one too. Thursday night, Montana held the the latest show from Addfueltothefire with the launch of his brand new iPhone app and Dj Ride leading the sound through the night. The Lisboa team faced the Malmo guys last Saturday in Santa Cruz beach. You can check what went down as well as the final result inside. The Portuguese team was made of Add fuel to the fire, Propaganda 31 and Chure. Not being able to be there, André Resende was the man behind the shots.
Add fuel to the fire had his latest solo show Thursday last week at Restart, Lisboa. Lucky to have been to the studio just days before, there was no way I’d miss the premiere last week. With an imagery that picks up on our childhood toys, he gave all of those past objects a futuristic revamp exclusively for this “school comeback”.
