Bringing another edition of Random Porto is Miss K as usual, who’s work is starting to show up everywhere. My lack of knowledge for the streets of this city are so big that these pics really leave me wanting to go there. Some cool stuff happening at the moment, and some beautiful spots can be seen inside for your delight. Jump in…

The 7th edition of Seixal Graffiti is taking place on the weekend of 9 & 10 of October and is as usual in the old Mundet Factory walls. Around 40 national artists and some international artists will give birth to the newest edition.

And already inside, some of the walls have been painted for the latest show from Skran, Ayer, Hesp, Frame01, Erom, Pluz, Keims, Smile & ON. Unable to attend the first days, Skran dropped me some flicks of the walls and what they’ve been up to. Check inside. Also in the outside walls, there’s some old Vhils, Mar and DirtyCop pieces that I’ve never left here, but that’s for another day.

Yellow Pants Gallery was created in 2010 by 2 portuguese artists – Pedro Matos and Maria Imaginário. Together, they are already promising to bring some big international artists to the Portuguese scenario. Guess I missed this one in due time, but to celebrate the ending of the show from Ship & Smile, the author of the book “Porque Pintamos a Cidade” (Why we paint the city) Ricardo Campos will be present to promote his book and also for a debate on the state of graffiti and street art happening today.

Artist Pablo S. Herrero, La soga al cielo seems to have been in Covilhã, more specifically in Penhas da Saúde where he left these paintings.

Fábrica Braço de Prata is as of today, holding a show until the October 3rd with some of Almada’s street art/graffiti artists, Skran, Ayer, Hesp, Frame01, Erom & Keims. The show is set to be the beginning of a larger project to be held later in January 2011.

And two nights ago something happened, MAISMENOS ±, Oker & Khoy decided to hit the streets of Porto to do some paste ups together. And if it’s happening up north, Miss K sure doesn’t want to miss all the fun. So, together with her brand new lens, she went out with the boys for a what seemed to be a night well spent.

These last works from Paulo Arraiano aka YUP and Leonor Morais were done in the Island of Açores last week. If you’re far away from the island as is my case, then jump inside to get a taste of what must have been an amazing journey. Açores is on top of my “to go” list.
